Rubber injection molding lines typically run high volumes over long production hours, while operators juggle several jobs at once. With no one able to watch part counts continuously, overproduction happens all the time — wasting material and pushing back schedules, a hidden cost that eats into efficiency.
Sensors now track the molded part count and send a heads-up shortly before an order completes, so operators can prepare the material change in advance and roll straight into the next order — solving overproduction while speeding up the whole flow. For example, if order A calls for 500 parts, the system can be set to notify at 495: operators tend to other work during the run, start staging order B's material when the notification arrives, and switch over the moment order A finishes.
